The Old House is a little known pub tucked away just a few miles from the M25, to the east of Sevenoaks. It has been stuck in a time-warp for the last 50 years, and has no wish to escape.
Beer is served by gravity from a tap room, and the selection is always changing - through the well known favourites such as London Pride, Youngs and Harveys, to the more unusual - Fyne Ales Jarl, Dark Star Partridge, Bespoke 'Money for Old Rope - to name just a few.
With the number of breweries now at the highest level in living memory, it is possible to sample only a small fraction of the wonderful ales in this golden age of ale at a normal beer festival - so this pub is one long, slow, relaxed beer festival, where locals come to have a chat, catch up on news, make new friends, seek advice and just enjoy a quiet sociable pint.
But this is not just a beer house! A wide selection of Gins and Whiskies, as well the less usual tipple, is also available. Anno and Greensand Ridge from Kent, Slingsby from Harrogate, Plymouth, Brokers, Sipsmith (London & V.J.O.P.), Tanqueray 10, The Botanist, Bloom, Portobello Road, Bulldog, Hendrick's, Wicked Wolf (Exmoor), Opihr, Brockman's, Williams Chase (Extra Dry & Elegant) are just some of the gins on offer.
